UPDF: Limited Mourners,Media Coverage At Col Bantariza Scientific Burial

The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces ‘UPDF’ has taken all burial arrangements of  Col (rtd) Shaban Bantariza who will be laid to rest at his native land in Kagorogoro, Ruhinda county in Mitoma District on Thursday.

In a press statement issued by UPDF, says a limited number of mourners mostly family members, friends and top Government officials will be allowed.

“It will be a scientific burial. This is in line with preventive guidelines from government as we deal with COVID-19 pandemic,” reads part of the statement.

Mr Bantariza died Tuesday morning of Coronavirus at Mulago Referral Hospital.

Burial will take place at 11am.

The UPDF press unit will provide footage of the ceremony to all media houses In the country.
