Uganda’s leading private institution, Victoria University in Kampala has officially reopened for the new academic year by teeing off the traditional orientation week with a number of activities throughout the week.

Hundreds of students who freshly joined the Jinja Road based University are treated to an array of wisdom from different experts and personalities during the ongoing orientation week which commenced yesterday Monday, March 21, 2022.

This website has learnt that the orientation week will be graced by members of the business community, academia, models, musicians and other entertainers and it was specifically organized to welcome new students to the institution.

Officiating the first day of orientation, the Victoria University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Lawrence Muganga urged the new students to make use of the available information wisely if they are to reap big from their educational journey.

Prof. Muganga said despite the world now being a forest of information able to give enough shade to a student, its only the best university that is able to irrigate that forest of information to the benefit of its students, and that is none other than Victoria University.

“Our duty is to offer students: an education that works for you to learn how to live, unlock your potential, and prepare thyself for the real world, not an artificial one, Muganga stated.

Adding that; “If Victoria university students (‘Victorian’) embraces that output, they will have answered ‘WHY’ they enrolled in a university that upholds thee.’
