Sheema Municipality National Resistance Movement (NRM) Frag bearer Dickson Kateshumbwa has called upon his supporters double efforts in hunting Elections upto the last voting day.

Kateshumbwa made a call on Thursday October 15, 2020 at Sheema District Electoral Commission headquarters after being nominated as a contestant in the 2021 Parliamentary race.

Kateshumbwa said, efforts used in last elections should be doubled after learning that some of those he defeated in the NRM Primaries are coming back as independents and others coming from different parties.

He said people should stop camouflaging in parties and when they are defeated they just run away to other parties which he said it’s a sign of hypocrisy.

He argued people to stop party and religious wrangles in order to develop Sheema.

His major Contestant Dr Tumwesigye, who is the incumbent Sheema municipality MP, went to August House after the July 27, 2018 by-election.

Before beating Ms Plan Virginia Mugyenyi of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) in the general elections, the legislator had already beaten seven contenders in the NRM primaries.

However, this time round, he lost the ticket to Katesh and came as an independent candidate.
