KCCA FC head coach Mike Hillary Mutebi has stated that there is hope for the team to qualify for the 2nd final qualifier round of the CAF Champions League.

This came in after KCCA FC lost 3-2 to African Stars FC in the first leg held in Namibia and will be hoping to overturn the result on Friday 23rd August 2019 at Star times Stadium, Lugogo at 4 pm in order to proceed to the final qualification round.

”Of course, there is a lot of hope. We conceded soft goals because of carelessness and not because the opposition was better. Yes, they were at home and used their advantage well. ‘he said.
He added ”Overall view, the game was good. End to end stuff but jittery for the coaches. We shall be better in the return leg. We missed so many chances, especially in the first half. We could have killed off the game with three goals in the opening 45 minutes.”

Asked about his view on African Stars FC and how they play, the Gaffer had this to say; ”They (African Stars) are a strong side. They have belief and you would see that when they conceded an own goal early in the 13thminute but kept the belief and bringing the game to us. They asked us questions that we failed to answer in the very appropriate way but we hope to correct our mistakes in the return leg.”

He vowed that they are going to come and play in the second leg so that cut out is theirs because of away the chances they got so that they can proceed to the next round.
