Gen Katumba Attack: Security Arrests Second Assassin

A joint security team of security operatives has apprehended  second assassin suspected to have been  involved in the attempted murder of Gen Katumba Wamala,transport minister  leaving his daughter Brenda Nantogo and driver Haruna Kayondo dead.

Police spokesperson Fred Enanga identified the suspect as Kanaabe who is accused of  transporting Walusimbi Kamada alias Mudinka to Najjera.

“Security last night July 12th arrested Kanaabe  from one of the villages in Luwero district where he had been hiding for more than three weeks”,he said.

Enanga added”detectives searched his home, the motorcycle they used to attack general Katumba Wamala was recovered”.

The prime suspect one Hussein Lubwama alias Christopher Kinene aka Master was shot dead two weeks ago by security operatives who alleged that he was resisting arrest and highly violent .

It is said that during the investigations, Kanabe confessed to have participated in various murders and robberies including the murder of Major Kigundu and AIGP Felix Kaweesi.
