The head of the Kyambogo based office of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) National Chairman (ONC) Hajjat Namyalo Hadijah Uzeiye has moved the Jjajja Omalako Tova Ku Main” campaign to Kasokoso a city Suburb in a bid to breakthrough opposition strongholds in the Kampala Metropolitan area.

This was during the Kasokoso Youth Festival organised to promote unity and talent by the area youth councilor. The purpose of the festival was to bring youths together and raise their voices through talent.

The festival was held at St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School Kasokoso – Kireka D on Friday 16th December 2022 and youths showcased their talents in singing, boxing, cycling etc.

The NRM Vice Chairperson Kira Municipality  Susan Kansiime revealed that with a population of over 100,000 residents, Kasokoso fully backs Museveni’s 2026 presidential bid.

She revealed that the main challenge in Kasokoso are the land wrangles and dishonest NRM leaders who have been selfishly using party resources.

“I thank President Museveni for bringing Hajjat Namyalo to Kyambogo in the ONC and now we have where to begin from. NRM is a big family but we are some how silenced by a few NUP people because they can make noise,” Kansiime said.

She added that with Hajjat Namyalo at the ONC, issues of transparency, accountability and dedicated service are now assured because She (Namyalo) is on ground.

Kansiime also called upon Jjajja (President Museveni) to visit Kasokoso and help sort out the pending land issues.

On the same note, Gideon Byandala the Kira Municipal Council youth Chairperson also commended Hajjat Namyalo for spearheading the “Jjajja Omalako Tova Ku Main” campaign endorsing president Museveni for his Candidacy come 2026.

He however, opened up that the youths in Kira  have been forgotten in government programs especially the skills development programs.

“We need these skills but we have been forgotten, we don’t know who is responsible for us. We want skilling in Kira and we request through you Hajjat to meet the president,” he asked.

Byandala added that, “Politics leaves us divided as youths and there are no other means of getting together but sports is one way we can get united and we thank different stakeholders who have supported this festival especially Hajjat Namyalo and we pledge to work with her and her office as a whole”.

At the same event, local leaders led by vice chairman Masaba Ibrahim and a number of ghetto youths signed on the “Jjajja Omalako Tova Ku Main” board to affirm their support for president Museveni come 2026.

During the event ghetto youths pledged not to participate in protests/violence which they said are destructive and time wasting.
