President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed Beatrice Kayanja head of export for the ministry of science, technology and innovation.(STI)

Ms Kayanja is a dedicated, driven and result-oriented management professional with a passion for optimal service, business development, team leadership and women’s rights.

His Excellency the President of Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni recognised her work of positively promoting East Africa especially Uganda through commercial diplomacy and her company BEAKAY Limited which promotes Uganda’s products of Arts and Craft in Europe in accordance with European Standards.

She is the co- founder and executive director at TILOA. An organisation which ignites change by supporting African women to get elected to public offices.

Ms Kayanja is a Non – Profit Director at PENHA. She is a charity contributor at St. John’s Hospice a charity she is very passionate about that looks after terminally ill children and the elderly.

She does a lot of volunteering work training, supporting and empowering women and the youth in different areas of interest.

Ms Kayanja was the Democratic Party’s (DP) candidate for the Kampala Lord Mayoral race. Her manifesto was so outstanding with her ten point action programmes which included to support the establishment of Agricultural Free Zones (AFZs) to promote agricultural production for export.

Speaking about Kayanja’s appointment, Netizens congratulated her and said she has merit for the new job and she is a go getter.
