Just In: Jacob Kiplimo Wins Gold At World Half Marathon Championship Gdynia 2020

Ugandan Athlete Jacob Kiplimo has won the World Half marathon title in a championship record on Saturday October 17th 2020 inĀ  Poland.

Mr Kiplimo won the race after 58:49 minutes in this Covid-19 pandemic while the recent World record breaker, Joshua Cheptegei came in the fourth position.

Top athlete Kibiwott Kandie from Kenya finished in the second place after completing 58:54 minutes.

Ethiopian long-distance runner Amedework Walelegn finished in third position.

Jacob Kiplimo is one of the youngest Ugandan long-distance runner who competes in track running events. He is the 2020 Half Marathon Word Champion. He represented his country at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He is the 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Junior champion. In 2019 he became the World Cross Country Silver medallist at the age.
