Just In: Ugandan Peruth Chemutai Wins Gold Medal In Women’s 3000m Steeplechase At The Olympics

A Ugandan athlete Peruth Chemutai has won Uganda’s first Gold medal in 2020 Olympics games.

Chemutai won the Women’s 300M steeplechase final on August 4th 2021.

The development comes just minutes after another Ugandan Nanyondo also qualified for the final in Women’s 500M race.

Nanyondo emerged the fourth in semi final heat 4 to qualify for this year’s final.

Earlier on Ugandan duo Moses Cheptegei and Moses Kiplimo won silver and Bronze respectively in the same games.
