The Leader of Opposition together with other opposition members of Parliament are spending Tuesday night in the chambers of parliament over continued assassination attempts on their lives.

Hon. Bety Oal Ochan raised a concern during plenary chaired by Speaker Rebecca Kadaga where she said that Hon. Katusabe Godfrey (FDC) was assaulted and tortured by police in his constituency on January 13, 2020 and warned that legislators will sleep at Parliament tonight if the ministers responsible do not address the issue.

Hon. Katusime Atkins said he was undressed, humiliated by police and robbed of his money equivalent to 91,000 US Dollars which he had at the time.

Over five MPs reported that their lives are under threat/ or have been threatened before. These include: Hon. Katusabe Godfrey Atkins (FDC), Hon. Nantanba Aida (Ind.), Hon. Winfred Kiiza (FDC) and Hon. Miggade Robert (NRM).

He wants his money back and the Officers brought to book because they are own.
