Kyadondo East Legislator and leader of the pressure group “People Power Movement” Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has told first Son, Gen. Muhoozi Keinerugaba to forget any form of negotiations with him, until the state lifts all restrictions to his liberties.

Bobi Wine was responding to a message Gen. Muhoozi posted on social media saying his supporters are pressurizing him to engage in talks with Kyagulanyi. Muhoozi however did not specify what issue(s) the talks are meant to address.

Bobi said he is ready to meet Gen. Muhoozi for open talks, but that will happen only after state-inspired brutality on him, and disrespect of human rights in Uganda has ceased.

“I’ m open to talks with anyone but before that, you and your father should stop actions that have left many orphans, widows and torture victims” Bobi wrote.

Ever since he declared intentions to contest against President Museveni, Kyagulanyi whose primary source of income is music, has faced rough treatment from state organs, with his music shows blocked, with police citing non-compliance with the law. Gen. Muhoozi is the son of the incumbent President Yoweri Museveni. Bobi said only free men can negotiate.

“Remove the boot off my neck, and we will have a voice to speak with you” He added.

In his message posted on his twitter account on Thursday, Gen. Muhoozi reffered to Bobi Wine as a brother, and with whom are friends. He however alluded to the need for youths to seek peaceful settlement of matters instead of violence.

“I dont have a problem talking to him. we talked in the past and we are friends. I advise all the youths never to seek war over peace” Gen. Muhoozi said
