Ntungamo Senior Police Officer Commits Suicide

A police officer has shot himself in the head dying on spot in Ntungamo district.

Police Constable Ben Langoya, 34, committed suicide over unknown reasons.

The incident happened in Ntungamo Police Barracks at around 6:50am on Thursday when the deceased turned a gun on himself.

Langoya’s body, with a deep wound in the head, was found in a sitting position with a gun in his chest.

Scene of crime officers found one bullet on the floor and a cartridge.

The body was taken to Itojo Hospital mortuary for examination.
