Prof Ephraim Kamuntu’s Son ‘Ruchwere’ Succumbs To Covid-19

Senior Presidential Adviser in charge of Economic and manifesto implementation Prof Ephraim Kamuntu has lost a son, The Capital Times has learnt.

Henry Ruchwere Kamuntu, a renowned banker died on Thursday after losing a battle to the novel coronavirus.

Ruchwere has been working with Stanbic Bank Uganda Country office as the Head of Power and Infrastructure.

He was instrumental in Stanbic Bank’s initiative to finance investors in Uganda’s oil and gas sector amidst growing opposition against fossil fuels including oil and gas in favour of renewable energy.

His colleagues have described him as a happy person who always had an infectious smile.

“The jolliest fellow on the golf course. How we will miss that roaring laughter and infectious smile. Go well brother, condolences to your family and Hon. Ephraim Kamuntu,” said one Samuel Sekajja, one of his colleagues.
