UPDF Officer Shot On Head During Curfew Operations

Uganda Police in Arua are investigating an incident where a yet to be identified Uganda People’s Defence Forces’ (UPDF) officer was shot on the head using bow and arrow by an unknown person.

The incident happened near Stabex Petrol Station, Awindiri area, Arua-Nebbi road, Arua Municipality at about 7:30pm on Friday, as the officers were patrolling the area during curfew time.

The Commander of the team rushed the victim to Rhema Hospital for treatment.

“A search was conducted but no suspect arrested as the group took off to an unknown direction,” said SP Angucia Josephine, Police PRO West Nile, who also said the suspects are still being pursued as inquiries continue in the matter.
