Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known musically as WizKid, broke down and nearly came to tears on Thursday while remembering the late Goodlyfe Crew singer Mozwey Radio.

The award winning and recording breaking Afrobeats artiste arrived in Uganda Thursday morning ahead of the “Dirty December” concert at Kololo Airstrip tonight.

The show will also feature Ugandan acts like Vinka, Fik Fameica, Weasel and John Blaq among others.

While speaking to press at Entebbe airport, the StarBoy said he was glad to return to Uganda and would dedicate the show to the late Ugandan singer Radio.

“I had promised to come back to Uganda and here I am,” he said.

He went on: “I also want to take this chance and dedicate tonight’s show to the late Mowzey Radio because he was not just a fellow musician but a friend.”

In Kampala, WizKid once more addressed a press conference at Mestil Hotel in Nsambya.

The first question he answered was on Mozwey Radio. And he became emotional.

“I loved him. He was my brother. He was a great person. I will dedicate tonight’s show to my friend.”

He added: “Man, I’m not going to come here and say many things about him. That is all am gonna say.”

The “Ojuelegba” star who flew in in a private jet said on his Twitter account:

“Uganda love!!! Can’t wait!! RIP my bro Radio! We miss u forever! This one for u. Uganda love!!! Can’t wait!! RIP my bro Radio! We miss u forever! This one for u ❤️ .”

He did songs like “Don’t Cry” and “Get No Love” with Goodlyfe Crew and says they will still be his friends forever.

When asked why he has three kids from three different women, the “Holla at your boy” singer received the question with a round of laughter.

“I love children. I wouldn’t be WizKid today without my first, second and third child. All I can say is that kids are the joy of life. I may have more in the future.”

On African music, WizKid said African artists need to unite to drive the industry forward.

Asked on his relationship with diva Tiwa Savage, WizKid replied: “Tiwa Savage is my good friend. That is all.”
