Kampala, Uganda: The Miss Uganda beauty pageant entered a decisive phase on Friday night as 26 contestants were officially unveiled during a glitzy Presentation Night at Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
The event, broadcast live on StarTimes Makula KiKa, drew a high-profile audience and set the stage for the final journey to the coveted crown.
From as early as 6:00 pm, viewers across the country tuned in as the finalists took to the stage, introduced through a seamless blend of fashion, culture and performance.
Entertainment highlights included soulful renditions from Tracy Mellon, an energetic set by An Known, and live music from the VIPI Band — all adding colour to a night that celebrated talent and elegance.
“The Presentation Night is always a defining moment in the Miss Uganda calendar,” said Isma Lule, Marketing Director at StarTimes.

“This year’s finalists embody the grace, ambition and cultural pride we stand for, and we are excited to watch their journeys unfold. With our wide coverage, Ugandans everywhere can follow this search in real time.”
The glamorous ceremony was graced by former beauty queens, fashion industry leaders, sponsors and enthusiastic fans. Corporate partners present included V&A, Vaseline, Xiaomi, Entikko, Uhome, Mbale Industrial Park, Reach A Hand Uganda, Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Print Creations, Kiira Motors, NRG, Lapaire, and lead sponsor Tianao Furniture.
Speaking at the event, Kenneth Kazooba, Vice President of StarTimes, commended the support from parents and viewers who have followed the pageant closely.
“Uganda is blessed with exceptionally talented and charismatic young women, and selecting just 26 finalists was a challenging task,” he said.

Shillah Nazziwa, the Project Manager, reflected on the growth of the pageant since StarTimes assumed production and broadcast rights in 2023.
“Miss Uganda has attracted new audiences and partners, significantly boosting its popularity across the regions. We are especially proud of the performance of our former queens Hannah Karema and Natasha Nyonyozi on the Miss World stage, and the impact they continue to make in society,” she said.
With the unveiling of the finalists, the contest now enters its final phase. Over the coming weeks, the young women will participate in public appearances, community service projects, and talent showcases ahead of the Grand Finale set for September 20, 2025.
The winner will not only wear the Miss Uganda crown but also represent the country at the Miss World competition.
The Miss Uganda pageant remains a platform dedicated to empowering young women through beauty, talent and purpose. It continues to promote leadership, cultural heritage and social impact, offering contestants an opportunity to serve as role models and ambassadors for Uganda globally.
The journey to the crown continues with weekly broadcasts on StarTimes Makula KiKa every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 pm, with reruns on Makula TV at the same time.
