On Saturday evening, Bebe Cool was pelted with bottles by angry revelers while performing on stage at a music concert at Luggogo Cricket Oval, in Kampala.
Gen. Muhoozi wondered how police can allow such an embarrassing act to happen to Bebe Cool while police is just watching.
“How could Uganda Police allow a few hooligans to hurl bottles at one of Uganda’s greatest artists?” he querried in a message he posted on social media.
How could @PoliceUg and the bouncers at Cindy's Concert allow a few hooligans to hurl bottles at one of Uganda's greatest artists?? The same hooligans beat up women (on Women's Day) for simply loving @KagutaMuseveni and @BebeCoolUG. We expect a lot better next time from @PoliceUg pic.twitter.com/eYzsHINAC9

It is however evident the revelers’ anger is attached to Bebe’s political affiliations, as musicians opposed to government are not allowed to freely perform at concerts. Bebe is a known supporter of the ruling government NRM.
Gen. Muhoozi said the same hooligans beat up women yesterday “for simply loving” President Museveni, and said he expects police to stop such incidents next time.
Gen. Muhoozi is the son of the incumbent president Yoweri Museveni.
“We expect a lot better from Uganda Police next time” he added.
