Mr. Musinguzi holds a Master’s degree in Computing and Information systems of the University of Greenwich and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics of Makerere.
He is the Senior Presidential Advisor on ICT and Investment.
Mr. Musinguzi replaces Doris Akol, whose departure from the tax body is shrouded in mystery as she was serving her second term as Commissioner-General.
Meanwhile, Ms Doris Akol has already sent a goodbye message to the team she’s been working with.
After the announcement, Akol took on social media and wrote thus;
Dear Tweeps,
Ask of tomorrow, this Twitter handle will be used by Mr. John Musinguzi. I welcome John to URA Family. It has been an absolute honour and privilege to serve Uganda as @URA_CG. May blessings and wisdom abound for you John. Signing out; D Akol.
