The commander of Special Forces Command (SFC),first son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has told the National Unity Platform presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine to brace for a defeat in 2021 elections.
He was responding to a tweet by senior journalist Andrew Mwenda on the arrest of Bobi Wine in Kalangala district.
“This afternoon, police without firing a shot or tear gas, arrested @HEBobiwine hooligans who had gone to Kalangala to cause mayhem,” Mwenda tweeted.
He added: “BW was flown on a helicopter to Kololo airstrip and escorted to his residence without incident. Thank you Paul Lokech, police is working well now!”
The Special Forces Command (SFC) commander quoted the tweet and said:
“Oh dear! Kabobi kangye! (demeaning for a little boy or small person). Why is he dressed in red from neck to toe? Trying to be a soldier with absolutely no training,” Muhoozi said.
“Someone tell this young brother of mine that we are going to beat him very badly in the polls!” he added.
Meanwhile, Bobi Wine’s Canadian lawyer Robert Amsterdam condemned the Kalangala incident.
“The arrest of the entire Bobi Wine campaign team is just one further outrage. No visibility because the Army and M7 are above the law. We are monitoring,” he said.
He had earlier said: “For the record My firm’s efforts on behalf of Bobi Wine are pro bono. No government or agency of any government funds our African work on behalf of opposition leaders.”E.U
