Uganda’s number one CommonWealth Resort Speke Munyonyo has distanced self from an online advert that was placed on social media platforms advertising a naked bicycle ride at the beach on April 5 2021.

Speke Resort has further warned fraudsters against involving their name and any of it’s sister brands in any pornographic events.

“We are not party and we will never be party to such useless events. We are an international brand and therefore, we value it and our clients. please disregard useless and baseless advert about an alleged event at our resort.” One of the Managers said.

This is not the first time Speke Resort is dragged into useless and baseless accusations. In November 2020, the controversial concert by Nigerian Artiste Omah Lay that caused social media uproar as concerts are not allowed to be held to avert the spread of Covid-19 was held at Ddungu Resort in Munyonyo but fraudsters had made social media claims and posters that the event was at Speke.

Police further confirmed that the concert was held at Ddungu Resort and arrested culprits.
