Victoria University Set To Host The July Woodball President’s Cup

Victoria University, the leading fast-growing multi-cultural university in Uganda has obtained exclusive rights that will the university host the edition of the woodball President’s Cup in July this year.

”We are proud to have been assigned hosting rights for the President’s Cup in July this year,” announced the University after being assigned hosts for the event.

About the sport of Woodball In Uganda

The Woodball sport was introduced in Uganda and Africa by Sports Tutor Paul Mark Kayongo and his counterpart, Penina Kabenge during the International University Sports Federation (FISU) General Assembly in Dubai in March 2006. The idea germinated from the original founder of the sport Prof. Ming-Hui Weng who invented woodball in 1990 in Taipei City, Taiwan.

Uganda would later become the launching pad for the Africa continent with over five countries invited to attend the inaugural IWbF woodball workshop namely Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, and Burundi among others.
