Tremendous Loyal Citizen! President Museveni, Prime Minister Lauds Businessman Kiggundu For Endless Contribution Towards Fight Against Coronavirus

Helpful Africa’s youngest and biggest investor Tycoon Hamis Kiggundu alias Ham has been applauded by the President of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the prime minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja for his kind heart and endless contribution towards the fight against Coronavirus (Covid-19).

According to the Prime Minister, while addressing the press, said Ugandans are yearning for better quality social services where over 3.3 million households are still in subsistance economy thus a need to transform them to a money conomy.

It’s from that background, the Premier applauded Tycoon Hamis Kiggundu for his big heart and endless contribution to The Government towards the fight against Coronavirus.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank a certain young man, Hamis Kiggundu. He has made a big contriburion, I dont know whether you people are aware, he wants to vaccinate all his staff, his technical people, his servants in his companies. He has also made a contributiuon of Ten thousand Vaccines so that we can vaccinate Ugandans. He’s fighting Covid,” the Prime Minister said.

Hon Nabbanja further urged other Ugandans and non Ugandans, people in the private sector, especially fellow businessmen, employers, corporate giants and service providers and whoever is an employee of Ugandans to combine hands, contribute and help one another in the fight against this noval virus.

“Government cannot fight alone, it’s a struggle. I want to take this opportunity to call upon all those Ugandans and non Ugandans who are employees of Ugandans to dispatch this covid pandemic. I want to call upon other ugandans who have employees so that they can also take the example of our brother Ham because I saw the letter from the president recognising his contribution so i also felt the press must know they are those people who are still fighting on,” Hon. Nabbanja added.

According to Ham, over 5000 dozes were for his employees and tenants and 10000 dozes were for other fellow Ugandans.

“As Ham Enterprises, am willing and ready to commit 530 million shillings towards this justified cause to buy vaccines approximately 15000 dozes. If we had only like 2000 investors to come out for each to buy at least 10000 dozes, we would immunise or vaccinate up-to 20 million Ugandans which would be sufficient to bring the level of corona virus down,” Kiggundu said.

The Youthful Tycoon further called upon the business private sector especially city landlords, businessmen, employers, corporate giants and service providers to stand together with Ugandans in this trying Covid-19 era.

On that day, Kiggundu further warned that coronavirus disease (Covid-19) does not differentiate between the rich and the poor asserting that it’s high time for every responsible Ugandans to join hands in kicking the pandemic out of the country.

“Covid-19 does not know whether you are rich, covid does not know whether you are poor, everyone can be a victim to covid and it is our corporate responsibility as Ugandans and as a business private sector for who have been benefiting from Ugandans for all this time. They are our clients, our customers, and above all fellow Ugandans. From a reasonable point of view, It is our obligation to come up and purchase these vaccines and make sure a reasonable number of Ugandans are vaccinated,” he added.

This not the first time Ham standing with Ugandans. In April 2020, Tycoon Hamis Kiggundu through his Ham Foundation donated Shs100 million in cash towards the food relief distribution program that was targeting vulnerable people affected by the Covid-19 lockdown.

The young tycoon handed over the cash Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda who flagged off distribution of food relief in Kampala.
