Federation of Uganda Football Associations ‘FUFA’ has reappointed coach Milutin Sredojevic commonly known as Micho as the new head coach of Uganda cranes.
The news of Micho’s appointment was announced through official FUFA Twitter and Facebook accounts.
The 51-year old coach deal was finalized on Tuesday after noon after the two camps agreed on payments and length of the coaching period
In March 2021,FUFA sacked Jonathan Mckinstry due to poor performance and appointed coach Abdallah Mubiru as the interim manager to handle the footballers’crisis.
Micho’s appointment comes after he was recently fired by Zambian football federation as their national coach heading Chipolopolo .
He first came to Uganda in 2001 to coach Soccer Club Villa and spent more than two years before his contract was terminated.
He returned in 2013 to coach national team Uganda Cranes. In 2017, he resigned his role, and Frenchman Sebastien Desabre took over.
He has wider experience in football after coaching teams like SCVilla, Saint George SA(twice), Orlando Pirates(twice), Al Hilal Omdurman, Zambian national team,Young Africans FC, Zamalek and Rwanda national team.
His contract will run from 2021 to 2024.
