The Office of the National Chairman head – Kyambogo, also Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs Ms Hadijah Uzeiye Namyalo has scoffed at haters that they won’t divert her and the team from executing the mandate bestowed upon them by the NRM National Chairman.
“To the haters, we are ready for you and your hate will not divert us from executing the mandate bestowed upon us by the NRM National Chairman. Your actions are not any different from those of self-seekers who have no love for the NRM, its Supreme Leader Jajja Yoweri Museveni, Uganda and Africa at large,” she said.
Ms Namyalo made remarks during a Thursday, December 08, 2022 presser where she ordered the Old Office of the National Chairman (ONC) coordinators to submit a detailed activity report within two weeks from the date of announcement and at the same time directed a nationwide search for its new official coordinators at all levels.
“The ONC under the new leadership with guidance from the NRM National Chairman and with support from various Specialized Security Agencies has embarked on a Nationwide search for its new Official Coordinators at all levels of leadership from the grassroots at the Village / Cell level. I thus hereby direct all former and outgoing Coordinators to prepare a Three-Year Detailed Activity Report and submit it to the Office of the NRM National Chairperson at Plot 11 Edinburgh Avenue Kyambogo within two weeks from today 8th December 2022, and in any case not later than Friday 23. December 2022 at 5 pm, without fail,” she said.
Asked why Now, Namyalo said that the president hasn’t received any report on why he failed to hit the target in some regions, the challenges, what’s the status, where the party we improve, what’s the opinion of the coordinators and many other salient issues and thus the public will be updated on this exercise as it progresses.
“This is new leadership. We haven’t received any report on why President Museveni failed in some regions, the challenges, what’s the status, where can we improve, what’s the opinion of the coordinators and many other salient issues. Therefore, the search for new official coordinators has started today. We ask coordinators to bring reports on what they have been doing for the last 3 years. If they don’t bring those reports, it means they are non-existent” she said.
Namyalo further emphasized that many government programs including the Parish Development Model, Emyooga among others aimed at moving Uganda to the middle-income status have been spearheaded by Museveni and hence the need to keep him in power.
She promised to engage all stakeholders and the general public in ‘Jajja Tova Ku main’ activities, ensuring that their able leadership under Jajja Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa continues to steer the country and drives the sound engine bus (NRM) to agreed destiny as was in the manifesto themed “Securing the future”, which focused on Creating wealth and jobs, delivering Education and Health, Ensuring Justice and equity, Protecting Life and property, and achieving economic and political integration.
The event at Kyambogo NRM offices was also attended by former presidential spokesperson, Tamale Mirundi, the Lwengo LCV Chairperson Abdalla Kitatta several NRM mobilisers, among others.
