His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje, the Grand Mufti of Uganda, arrived safely in Tehran, Iran, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, to participate as a facilitator in the prestigious international conference themed Holy Qur’an & International Diplomacy.
The conference has drawn esteemed scholars, diplomats, and religious leaders from over 30 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Malaysia, Algeria, Tunisia, and Bosnia.
Accompanied by Hon. Counsel Haj Muhammad Ali Aluma, the Deputy Secretary General in charge of Finance and Administration at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC), Mufti Mubaje will share insights on how Qur’anic teachings can guide diplomatic engagements and global peace efforts.
The conference provides a platform for religious and political leaders to explore the intersection of Islamic principles and international diplomacy.
Discussions are expected to focus on how the Holy Qur’an’s teachings can help address global conflicts, promote dialogue among nations, and foster peaceful coexistence across different cultures and faiths.
