ONC, Diplomatic Heads Unite In Prayer For President Museveni’s Swift Recovery From COVID-19

In a show of solidarity and support, the heads of diplomatic missions for the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea, the United Republic of Tanzania, and the Islamic Republic of Iran made an impromptu visit to the Office of the National – NRM at Kyambogo on June 16th, 2023.

Their purpose was to extend prayers for the President of the Republic of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who is currently undergoing treatment for COVID-19.

The news of President Museveni’s illness has caused fear and concern among the people of Uganda, particularly the youth, commonly referred to as “Bazukulu,” who have rarely witnessed their President on sick leave. Responding to this unease, Bazukulu and well-wishers organized a prayer session on June 14th, 2023, at the ONC – Headquarters in Kyambogo, where clerics from the inter-religious council led the prayers.
