Global Construction Firm Boss Charged For Assaulting City IT Expert

Bilir, the Country Manager of Gulsan Group of Companies, a construction firm was on Friday arrested and charged before Nakawa Magistrates Court for assaulting an I.T specialist.

According to a Police statement Vide 63/31/05/2022 of Bugolobi Police Station, on Thursday 26th May 2022 at 2:36pm, Arim Felix, was called by Bilir to go to their office on Plot 25 Luthuli Avenue, Bugolobi, Kampala and help them fix up the network and other office machines.

That he told him it was already late and could not make it but will get there in the morning first thing on Friday.
On Friday again at 8:24am, Bilir called Arim to find out if he would be able to make it.
Arim told him that he was two minutes away.
That when he reached their office, their whole system was messed up by another person they had called earlier. This meant hat their accounts department wasn’t able to connect to their headquarters in Turkey.
“I managed to fixed it up and they were able to connect to their office in Turkey. The second problem they wanted me to fix was to configure two different network which is on two different fiber connections to one central network printer which I did for 2 days order for everyone to be able to share the printer,” Arim says.

According to Arim, he billed the company US$150.
“When I told him my work is done, he asked me for the bill and I told him it’s $150 from which he decided to called a lady called Elizabeth who is their employee how much I should be paid but the lady responded by telling him she doesn’t know. He again picked up his phone and called his colleague who was in Turkey to asked him after talking to him he told me he is going to pay ugx 200,0000 and told me to get out of his office if I don’t want 200k and I can go and report him to whoever I want because he doesn’t care and give a fuck about me,” Aim narrated to Police.
ASSAULT
From there, Arim says Bilir picked a chair and “threw it at me and grabbed me by the neck and started boxing my and eyes where threw me through the balcony door down and continued beating me up and strangling me.”
“That is when the staff came and pull him away to stop beating me. When they pull the staff helped me to get up and when I moved to pick my phone so that I could get out of his office he again came and hit on on my head then the ladies started crying because of how he was beating me up. Some staffs Upon seeing that the guys is continuing with his aggression the shielded me and help me to get out that’s when I went and reported it at Bugolobi police station under vide 63/31/05/2022,” Arim notes in his statement.
In deed, a case was filed at Bugolobi Police Station, after which Arim was admitted.
ARREST, CHARGE
Sources say Bilir was arrested and taken to court on Friday on a number of charges including assault, causing grievous harm and trafficking in person.
