Sheema District inspector of schools Ssempa Muzafaru has commended primary school heads in the greater Bushenyi region for encouraging learners to participate in co-curricular activities.
He was speaking the at the music dance and drama competitions for primary schools in the greater Bushenyi sub region that was held at Kamurinda Primary School in Kagarama subcounty, Sheema district.
Parental Care Nursery and Primary School Bushenyi emerged the winner in the competitions, which attracted over 15 schools from the five five districts of Bushenyi, Buhweju, Sheema, Mitooma and Buhweju.
Desmond Tayebwa, a music trainer at Parental Care Nursery and primary School Bushenyi, said that through music, dance and drama help students to be confident and creative.

Meanwhile, Sam Orikunda, the Sheema Deputy Resident Commissioner, warned schools headteachers from refraining students to participate in co-curricular activities.
Parental Care Nursery School Bushenyi, Kashozi boarding ps from Bushenyi and Kanengyere ps in Sheema district will represent Bushenyi sub region at this year’s national music dance and drama competitions that will be held in mbale city tomorrow 23rd August 2024.
