The Director of Personnel and Administration Col Dan Omoding has officiated at the graduation Ceremony of the Unit Adjutant course intake five at the Junior Command and Staff College in Gaddafi Barracks- Jinja.
“Today marks the end of your 12 months course. I therefore congratulate you for the achievement
attained and well deserved. You being among the participants of this year, count yourselves among the privileged ones.” Col Omoding said
Adjutant course is one of the few special academic disciplines the UPDF training.
Best students who emerged in various disciplines included; Maj Mariam Kagoro as Overall best student, Capt Acrey Ngabirano Best in Staff Duties and Maj Abey Mugabi for exemplary leadership skills.
Col Omodibg urged graduates to be incharge of the troops welfare, keep a humble profile of simplicity and endeavor to incorporate their work within Unit leadership.
On behalf of the College Commandant, the Chief Instructor Col Anetch Mubangizi thanked the UPDF leadership for it’s unwavering support that has seen the completion of the twelve months Unit administration course.
“At the inception of this course, it looked challenging due to Coronavirus pandemic which has put the whole world on tension but this never stopped us to achieve our objectives.” Col Mubangizi noted.
He commended the school for its cordial relations between the school and the outside partners.
He urged the graduates to endure and practice what they have learnt and strive for more to be accountable when and where it demands.
“Endeavor to practice technical, human and conceptual skills. This will help you to develop a better working solution. Be effective and remain focused wherever you will be deployed.” Col Mubangizi added.
In attendance were, Col Stephen Nahabwe, Col Robert Rutainama Jinja Cantonment and Directing Staff among others.
