On Top: Singer Angella Katatumba Partners With Masters Music To Release ‘Masterpiece’ Album

One of Uganda’s top vocalists, musician Angella Katatumba has partnered with Masters Music studios to release her new incoming music album titled “Masterpiece” as she seeks to yet again take the Ugandan airwaves by storm.

Masterpiece album is a fifteen (15) track album that is primarily centred on the life of Katatumba and features top Ugandan musicians such as Nutty Neithan, and has been produced, and mastered by Masters Music Studios, a top-notch record label located in Ntinda, Kampala.


During the unveiling of the tentative album artwork at the studio headquarters on Monday, August 29, the ‘Tonelabila’ singer noted that the Masterpiece album is by far the most exciting project she has worked on and she can’t just wait for its official launch onto the music store come September 30, 2022.

According to Katatumba, partnering with Masters Records on her new upcoming album with producers such as Lawraid, Skillz On The Beat, WabzDj and so many others was such a blessing as they’re talented and very focused people. Katatumba also applauded the efforts of the songwriters on the project who include; David Makueta, Cieska Lytes, Stephanie Kirabo saying with such a team, the music industry is in safe hands.

“The Album is a body of work containing 15 Tracks written, mixed and Mastered here at Masters records with the wonderful team of Producers, Vocal directors, and Songwriters who are all young and full of energy. I am glad to say that the future of our music industry is in safe hands because its so nice to see a new group of Talented people who are very focused, passionate and love what they do. We Joke around that this is a Big Budget Album achieved in a Guerrilla type of working,” Katatumba said Monday afternoon.

“The songs on this Album all have a personal place in my heart and some do feel very vulnerable, I am very sure that the Angella Katatumba Army is going to love every track and for the new people who discover this album we also hope you enjoy what we have delivered to you,” she added.

The Album according to the producers and the artiste will be made publicly available effective September 30th, 2022 on all Digital music stores and an Album Listening party will be hosted that very day at View Point Hotel Diplomate in Muyenga where Katatumba will perform some of these tracks in a new format of the “Masterpiece” Album.

“The Album Listening/Release party will also be held on September 30th, 2022 at the Viewpoint, Hotel Diplomate. I encourage all of you to attend that event, I believe everyone here will have a ticket. All information about this day will be announced on all social media and the Poster will also be shared soon,” Katatumba noted.
