Well, me and my crew have moved across most districts of Uganda interacting with different sections of Ugandans including farmers, Youth, Women, Elderly, PWDs, local Government and religious leaders among others.
Over 85% of the people we’ve interacted with or had a one on one with Prefer retaining H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa for President come 2026 than the son.
Majority of Ugandans say, that Mr Museveni is still the most trusted, reliable, experienced leader of all times and no any other Ugandan is ready to fit in his shoes including his only known son, Gen Muhoozi Keinerugaba.
The participants in our research have intimated to us that Gen Yoweri Museveni is not only a parent but also a Charismatic leader who listens to all people and carries solutions or wishes every Ugandan well, no matter of the education status, religion or family background.
Mr Museveni wants Ugandans to be better and out of Poverty I quote, therefore we can not afford to loose such a leader in 2026, Mr Okello Nicholas (Gulu City).
Mr John Isabirye from Jinja District, says that Mr Museveni should fight corruption heads on and make it risky even for people around him, he has that chance to rebrand himself and Busoga Subregion will vote for him come 2026, if service delivery equally gets better. His son is not yet ready, people here don’t feel him as such.
Now, the rumour that Mr Museveni is fronting his son for President come 2026, should be disregarded.
Beside the #TovaKuMain2026 Campaign managed by head of Office of the National Chairman (ONC), SPA to President Museveni and Chief Cordinator Buzzukulu ba Museveni Hajjat Hadijah Uzeiye Namyalo, Majority Ugandans are calling upon President Museveni to keep on the ballot come 2026.
Even when #TovaKuMain2026 ideology seem to be bringing Central region back to NRM fold, a number of majority Ugandans from other regions seem to be already reading on the same page, President Museveni on the ballot 2026 and no one else.
Opposition seem to be loosing touch with some of its membership and 2026, there is a likely hood that the competition and pressure will be minimal on the side of President Museveni, more opposition leaders are crossing or will cross to the NRM to support President Museveni in the next general elections, they are simply waiting for the entry point.
The majority voters in 2026, will be the millennials who are looking for jobs or better service delivery and with the small scale industries, as well Skilling centres being put up across the Country will most likely to absorb this batch of youth and others are getting to be more Job creators than ever before.
President Museveni’s current regime has to focus on more pro job creation and investment policies, access to affordable credit, zero tolerance to Corruption, better service delivery by Government, the rest will be a done deal for him and the Bazuukulu come 2026 general elections.
We will be bringing you full details of this report in the due course.
