Ex-Cranes star Timothy Batabaire, who was one of the guests at the event mentioned that this will as well market Ugandan football and the best platform to use was SuperSport.

Police FC Chairman SCP Halango Timothy re-echoed that the purpose is not only to market football but also to put Uganda as a country on the outside market and develop talent through such a big platform.

SCP Halango further noted that this is a great opportunity to give Uganda’s Ex international football players jobs to showcase their skills and talents as couches as to train the young people that Police FC is yet to recruit.

“This will create an opportunity where we shall create avenues to engage other football clubs to partner with us and prepare players for life after football,” Batabaire said.

Brief History About Police FC

Police FC is a football club from Kampala, Uganda.

It was formed in 1965 with a mission to be a football club that upholds community values and promotes career development as a community policing tool to avert criminality in society.

They played the Uganda Cup Final in 1968 with Coffee FC.

In 1975 the club was relegated and it came back to the first Division in 1980 and gained promotion in 1994.

They won their first Ugandan league title in 2005 and the CECAFA Clubs Cup in 2006.
