Ugandan entrepreneurs face numerous challenges when it comes to attracting investors and partners to their businesses and in a bid to sort out such challenges, Goldstone Enterprise Consulting and Training Limited has taken the initiative to provide investment readiness trainings to entrepreneurs to help bridge this gap.
The three-day investment readiness training was conducted from 3rd to 5th May, 2023 at the 8 Winx Hotel in Ntinda, and it provided participants with skills in areas such as financial management, marketing strategies, and investor pitching.
The successfully conducted event with intent to to boost entrepreneurship in Uganda was attended by a diverse group of individuals from various sectors and industries.
Daniel Bukenya Yiga, the Managing Director of Goldstone Enterprise Consulting and Training Ltd said, training aimed to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills necessary to secure investment for their businesses.
“Our objective is to help Ugandan entrepreneurs become investor ready and we are committed to providing continuous support to help them achieve this goal. Participants will receive support in areas such as preparing company profiles, creating marketing strategies, and developing routes to the market for the next three months. Our aim is to help them get listed in investor deal books and meet potential investors and partners.”
Dison Kareng, CEO of Bros Coffee Uganda Limited, a specialty coffee processing company based in Kapchorwa, expressed his satisfaction with the training, saying, “The 3-day introductory training has exposed loopholes in my organization that have previously prevented us from getting partners, investors, and funding to grow and expand our business. I believe that by the end of the 3-month support period, we will be ready to apply and win some grants, capital, and partnerships to assist us to elevate Bros Coffee Uganda Limited to the next level.”
Meanwhile, we’ve further learnt that Successful investees will constitute a pipeline of investable businesses for onboarding onto investor houses/programs such as the USAID – Strategic Investment Activity (SIA), ACELI Africa, and Pearl Capital Partners, among others.
